Coulda rolled all night in this hot country.
Take a deep breath and you reach out to me.
To live my life, it'll always be.
Take a deep breath, and you reach out to me.
Light starts to fade.
You wanna back down.
Why's it feel so good to get to out?
ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh
ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh
Gonna live my life in this hot country.
ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh
Take a deep breath and you reach out to me.
'Cause a light starts to fade.
You wanna back down.
Why's it feel so good to get out?
'Cause a light starts to fade
'Cause a light starts to fade
Baby, why you wanna live in the light?
Fuck it, no problem, it's just it took so long to disappear.
Inside love-light.
Quiet, unlike this path i'm riding,
these thoughts disappear.
You don't understand, do you?
Lately, take a look around
I'm not here for them.
I'm not gonna lie.
Have I lost the feeling?
What's wrong with me?

I think it's difficult to write songs about something other than romantic love, and still be able to communicate the intensity with which those feelings can hit a person. Some of the entries on this album are fantastic examples of this niche. dani_bloop

Alvvays has always been great, but with this album they took it to the next level. Every one of these songs is lodged in my brain now, permanently (in a good way). s. moxley
